Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: On the request of general public, the District Administration of South Andaman has decided to transfer the jurisdiction of Port Mout revenue village from the Tushnabad Patwari Circle (PC-7) to the Chouldari Patwari Circle (PC-10), effective from 16th January 2025. This decision follows a proposal from the public representative of Ferrargunj Tehsil and was further discussed during the Good Governance Week event, with the theme ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’, held on 20th December 2024 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: In a determined effort to curb illegal activities, two trucks transporting earth products without valid permission were intercepted and confiscated at Wandoor village. Upon inspection, a total of 30 cubic meters of earth was accounted for, including 20 cubic meters found dumped at the site and 5 cubic meters on each truck.

Under the provisions of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulation, 1966, a fine amounting to ₹44,000/- (Rupees Forty-Four Thousand Only) has been imposed on the violator.

To make it easier for MSMEs to reach new customers, NSIC has created a digital platform-www.msmemart.com. This B2B portal helps MSMEs showcase their products and services, get tender alerts, find franchise and subcontracting opportunities and explore trade leads. It also connects them with global buyers and provides useful tools like links to Government schemes and business events.
