Port Blair, June 18: The District Magistrate (SA) Shri Suneel Anchipaka along with SDM (SA), AC(U/T), Director (Health), Director (RD) and Dy.SP made a visit to Little Andaman to tackle the prevailing COVID situation. Director (RD) and Dy.SP has been deputed to ensure strict monitoring of containment zone in the island and also a community medicine expert is assigned to address the health care requirements of COVID patients in Little Andaman.

Port Blair, June 18: The Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association, A&N Islands demanded special arrangements for the teachers, working at various outstations, to join their duty at the time of reopening of the Schools on 30th June 2021 after summer vacation.
The authorities of all the 3 districts have extended lockdown up to 21st June and chances of its extension cannot be ruled out. Stringent restrictions are in place for bus service and boat service from Port Blair to Outstations and back.

Port Blair, June 18: The sudden spurt in the number of COVID cases in isles is due to the detection of COVID cases in Little Andaman Island, said the Secretary (IP&T), Shri Sunil Kumar Singh addressing the media today. This has contributed towards the surge in the overall tally of active cases in Isles which, the Secretary said, was showing a decline in the past few days. He appealed to the people to restrict their movement. The Secretary once again urged the people to follow COVID appropriate behaviors in letter and spirit and help A&N Administration to arrest the spread of corona virus, minimize positive cases in A&N Islands.

Port Blair, June 18: The District Administration has called upon Society/ Association/ Youth Club/ NGOs/Temple Committee /Mahila Mondal/Church/Mosque/ School registered in the South Andaman District under the Society Registration Act 1860 to submit the following details to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner by 10th July 2021.
i) Annual Audit reports. ii) Details of PAN of the Society. iii) Bank Account No. of the Society. iv) Aadhar No of office bearers. v) Contact details including Phone No. and e-mail ID of the society as well as office bearers.
