Port Blair, March 21: As a part of International Women’s Day 2023, NABARD, A&N RO organised two days Exhibition-cum-Sale of SHG products on 18-19 March 2023 at Marina Park. The event was inaugurated by Ms Vedita Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Secretary (RD/Panch/PRI) on 18 March 2023 at 5.30 pm. Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Additional District Magistrate and Shri H Manoj, GM/OIC, NABARD were also present on the occasion. Around 85 SHGs displayed their products which included coir & coconut shell handicrafts, beauty corner, virgin coconut oil, honey, macrame products, food stalls, handmade paper & thread jewellery, soft toys, plant nursery, mehandi art, cane & bamboo handicrafts, jute bags etc.

Hut Bay, March 21: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS on the last day of his visit to Little Andaman, held meeting with the public representatives and Heads of Office at APWD Guest House, Hutbay today. During the meeting, the public representatives highlighted their grievances pertaining to Health, Education, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Revenue, Civil Aviation, Electricity, Shipping, Road, Water, Rural Development etc. The Chief Secretary gave a patient hearing to the grievances and allowed all the PRI members present in the hall to put forth their grievances one by one.

Port Blair, March 21: Mission Vatsalya erst while Child Protection Scheme is the Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented by Ministry of Women and Child Development for the welfare and rehabilitation of children in difficult circumstances. The District Child Protection Unit is implementing this scheme at district level under the overall suspension of District Magistrate for ensuring Service Delivery and Care & Protection of Children in the District.
