Diglipur, Jan 25: Keeping a sharp vigil over anti-social activities and to curb illegal activities under PS Diglipur jurisdiction, on 22/01/23 on receipt of a credible tip, that 02 persons are illegally carrying Ambergris and are trying to sell the same near R.K. Gram, Diglipur. A raiding team comprising of Inspr. Vikash Singh, SHO PS Diglipur, SI M.V. Shiju Kumar, HC Thangarajan, PCs Devsai Toppo, Abubacker Siddique, T. Jabeer and CT(Drv.) Pawan Singh was constituted. The raiding team acting swiftly, reached R.K. Gram and intercepted 02 persons namely Rohit Hawlader S/o Shri Swapan Hawlader (20) yrs. Pvt. Worker R/o Rajiv Nagar, Uttra, Kadamtala and Robin Paul S/o Shri Ramesh Ch. Paul (39) yrs. Pvt. Worker, R/o R.K. Gram, Ward No.4 and during checking 02 nos. white colour polythene bags containing Ambergris weighing 0.832 Kgs and 0.411 Kgs (Total: 1.243 Kgs) were recovered from their possession.

It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended at the following area on 27.01.2023 (Friday) from 0830 Hrs. to 1200 Hrs. in connection with construction of transformer pedestal at Lillypur, Haddo, Port Blair.
