Port Blair, Dec. 21: A delegation of AATO led by Shri. Mohan Vinod, President, Shri. Vivek Singh, Vice President and Shri. Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary called on Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) at Raj Niwas today.

The delegation discussed various issues concerning tourism industry in A&N Islands.

Diglipur, Dec. 21: The team of PS Diglipur once again cracked a blind theft case within 6 hours of registration of the case and arrested 2 accused namely Bijoy Kumar Biswas, S/o Shri Bidhuth Biswas and Khitish Mondal, S/o Late Nikhil Mondal both residents of Krishnapuri village near Nikhil Medical, Diglipur. On Dec. 20, a theft case was reported at PS Diglipur where 3 batteries were stolen from 3 trucks parked at different locations at Diglipur. A case was registered and a team was constituted by Inspr. Vikash Singh, SHO PS Diglipur, consisting of Inspr. Kabita Kirtonia, PC Devsai, PC Abubacker Siddique, PC Santosh Lal and PC Sameresh Mistry.

Port Blair, Dec. 21: The President, Nicobar Youth Association, Shri Rayhaan Pasha on behalf of the tribal community of Nicobar District has appreciated the Chief Secretary, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS for issuing an order to make A&N Administration easily accessible for the general public as well as tribal communities. This move will enable the tribal community members who come to Port Blair from far flung islands to present their grievances for redressal before the Administration, said Rayhaan adding that the tribal community of the Nicobar Islands will remain grateful to Shri Keshav Chandra.

Port Blair, Dec. 21: Port Blair Guru ki Rasoi today facilitated the Muaythai athletes Mr Deepak Krishnan and Mr Aman Kumar Sharma with the mementos. Deepak Krishnan has won a silver medal in the -71 kg category and Aman Kumar Sharma has won a silver medal in the +91 kg category.
