Port Blair, Jan 6: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief General Manager, BSNL, A&N Telecom Circle to resolve the connectivity problems of BSNL in the Tribal area of Car Nicobar and Nancowry Group of Islands etc. by erecting 4G towers. The MP also requested to ensure providing of better connectivity services connecting from OFC, which is underway through Kamorta and Campbell Bay, so as to facilitate peoples residing in the tribal area for availing e-Services.

SHG Members Acquainted with Various Livelihood Enhancement Opportunities
Port Blair, Jan 4: The Port Blair Municipal Council organised a meeting for Self Help Groups formed under DAY-NULM at Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Auditorium on the 4th January 2021. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint SHG members with the various livelihood enhancement opportunities.

Port Blair, Jan 6: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands responding to the grievances received from the Merchants Association, Diglipur, North Andaman has requested the Regional General Manager, SBI, Port Blair to address the problems being faced by them at the earliest for which the merchants of Diglipur are facing tremendous hardships while depositing their day to day cash transactions at the SBI counter, Diglipur due to improper arrangements of counters for the merchants/customers.

Port Blair, Jan 4: The new motor vehicles are being registered by the Transport Department as per Section 39 of Motor Vehicles Act 1988. It has been reported that in addition to the prescribed registration charges mentioned in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1988, vehicle owners are being made to pay additional charges. Rule 81 of CMVR 1989 provides for registration charges for registration different class of new motor vehicles.
