Port Blair, May 23: Due to operationalisation of Rutland Water Supply Project, Port Blair Municipal Area has been continuously receiving normal level of water this year. However, during 1st week of May 2022 due to non-availability of flights, there was a delay in rectification of mechanical problem at main Treatment Plant at Garacharama and Lambaline.

Port Blair, May 23: The six days Odissi Classical Dance and Hindustani Classical Vocal Music Workshops organized from 16th -21st May 2022 by Kala Kendra Society under the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration under the aegis of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India concluded on 21st May 2022 with the performances of participants of workshops. The valedictory function was organised at Andaman Club, Port Blair on 21st May 2022.

Port Blair, May 23: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,79,956 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,528 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,256 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 23386.
