Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: The Pahargaon Police Station under leadership of Inspr. Mohd Elias, SHO PS Pahargaon, has achieved a significant breakthrough in its investigation of an NDPS Act case registered on 28.10.2024. The case pertains to the seizure of 2.075 kg of illicit Ganja and the arrest of five individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.

Bambooflat Nov. 18: In a swift and commendable operation, the team of PS Bambooflat, led by SHO Inspector Rizwan Hassan, successfully solved a burglary case reported on 17th November 2024. The incident involved the theft of gold and cash from the Ram Mandir Complex at Chunnabhatta.

Upon registration of the case, the Investigation Officer, SI PK Jabbar (I.O.), assisted by a special team comprising SI Manoj Lal, HC/588 Zubair, PC/586 Suresh, PC/1193 Naushadu, and IRBn CT/428 Basheer, was tasked with solving the case. Utilizing intelligence inputs and technical surveillance, the team apprehended the accused, T.K Jagdish, a resident of Kalapathar, Ferrargunj, who was duly arrested.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: A grave situation has developed in Manipur with the intensification of violence due to killings and counter killings on ethnic lines.  20 people have been killed in various incidents since November 7.  The discovery of five bodies of women and children, who were abducted earlier in a horrific incident, has inflamed the situation in the Valley.

Right from the beginning, it was Chief Minister Biren Singh who was responsible for the deteriorating situation, yet the Central government and the BJP, as the ruling party, refused to remove him and allowed him to continue.  A situation has now arisen where the writ of the state government and the administration does not run.

Nimbudera, Nov. 18: ICAR-KVK, Nimbudera, (ICAR-CIARI) N&M Andaman organized a field day on Air layering/ Gootee techniques in horticultural crops at farmers’ field at Janakpur village, Rangat on 13th November, 2024.

Dr. V. Damodaran, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Nimbudera, provided the practical demonstration of the air layering techniques in lemon, guava, and cinnamon plants. He illustrated the benefits of these techniques in improving plant propagation, ensuring the conservation of desirable plant characteristics and enhancing crop yield. The demonstration underscored air layering as a practical, cost-effective technique, especially valuable for crops that are challenging to propagate from seeds or traditional cuttings.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: SBI Sri Vijaya Puram branch is organizing Digital Life Certificate Campaign 3.0 from Nov.1. Around 200 pensioners are coming daily to submit their Life Certificates. Till now, around 2000 pensioners out of 5726 have already submitted their Life Certificates through digital platform. All the pensioners of the nearby places have been requested to submit their Life Certificates during the camp as early as possible. Bank is also visiting the house of the old aged persons who are not able to physically visit the camp to collect their Life Certificate.
