Port Blair, May 31: District Child Protection Unit (SA) in collaboration with Science Centre took an initiative to provide a platform for the children of Child Care Institutions to participate in the One Month Summer Holiday Camp at Science Centre. Around 20 children from various Child Care Institutions actively participated in Eight Trades such as Aero Modeling, Creative Science, Fun Chemistry, Astronomy, Robotic Science, Model Rocketry, Electronic Model and Fun Biology. With this venture children of Child Care Institutions were able to participate in all the trades and received prizes and appreciation on 30th May 2022 during valedictory function.

Port Blair, May 31: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 247 incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected.       During RAT conducted on 76 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 36 passengers were tested with RAT and no positive case has been detected. RAT was conducted on 38 passengers at Mohanpura Bus Terminus and no positive case has been detected. At Helipad, 1 passenger was tested with RAT and the report was negative.

Port Blair, May 31: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,81,392 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,530 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,655 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 25093. 

Port Blair, May 30: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has highlighted the issue of non- availability of All India Radio and Doordarshan signals in many parts of Great Nicobar Island.

In a letter addressed to the Union Minister, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi the Member of Parliament had mentioned that in many parts of Great Nicobar Island (Campbell Bay) the Doordarshan and All India Radio services are not available as people are unable to receive proper signals of the All India Radio and Doordarshan.
