Port Blair, Aug. 25: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,96,097 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,941 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 092 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,23,629.

Port Blair, Aug. 25: Four positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 3 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 8 flights with 1218 passengers arrived, out of which, 1093 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 87 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Aug. 24: The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs in collaboration with Education Department is organising a week long different sports activities from Aug. 22 to Aug. 28 in connection with National Sports Day -2022, the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand (Hockey Wizard) on 29th August.   To mark the occasion, a 5 Km Road Race (Open) for women and 10 Km Road Race (Open) for Men was held today from Netaji Stadium to Corbyn’s Cove and back to Netaji Stadium.
