Port Blair, Aug 19: CPI (M) has demanded immediate issuance of general transfer orders of teachers and Heads of Schools working under the Education Department. In a letter sent to the Secretary (Education), A & N Administration, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee explained the difficulties being faced by a large number of teachers and heads of institutions who have applied for transfer from one place to other on various grounds. Shri Ayyappan told the Secretary (Education) that those teachers whose children are studying in Class XII are unable to be with their children during the crucial period of their studies.  Besides, a large number of teachers who have completed their tenure at the present place of posting and applied for transfer are also waiting for their transfer.  Those who are posted in the southern group of islands and completed their normal tenure are also to be brought back.

Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands has Requested Shri Amit Shah, Honble Home Minister, Govt. of India to extend the relaxation of requirement to Restricted Area Permit for A&N Islands for a further period of 15 years as the present relaxation given by the Ministry is going to end on 31/12/2022.

Port Blair, Aug. 19: The District Administration, South Andaman has left no stone unturned in reaching out to the people/their families in distress as a result of  natural calamity by providing timely assistance. In this regard, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, (Relief & Disaster Management) has issued relief/sanction orders for amount of Rs 1,00,000/- to the victims of natural calamity from Tushnabad village under Ferrargunj Tehsil namely Shri Dulal Mondal & Shri Rajesh Mondal whose houses got damaged in the recent cyclone.

Port Blair, Aug. 19: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme launched by the GoI during the financial year 2018-19 to augment the income of the farmers. Under the Scheme, eligible farmer families receives financial benefit of Rs. 6000/- per year payable in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2000/- each, every four months.
