Port Blair, Aug. 21: On the occasion of Urja Diwas, Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee, Department of Science and Technology, A&N Administration conducted awareness programme by screening documentaries and short films to school students of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Port Blair and Govt. Secondary School, Dollygunj to create awareness on the use of renewable energy.

Port Blair, Aug. 21: The Directorate of IP&T to ensure safety of its employees from contracting infection of COVID-19, organized a Special Vaccination Drive wherein precautionary dose of vaccine was administered to the employees in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services.  

Port Blair, Aug. 21: Five positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 3 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 9 flights with 1430 passengers arrived, out of which, 1314 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 64 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Aug. 21: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,95,437 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,938 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 887 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,04,648.

Port Blair, Aug 19: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to appoint and engage a suitable female Gym trainer for Ladies at the existing Gym of Netaji Stadium, Port Blair at the earliest.
