Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 28: State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sri Vijaya Puram has successfully completed 10 days’ program in fast food stall for specially abled ladies of CRC Brookshabad. The program was conducted with the support of the Principal and faculties of Dr. B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology. The program commenced on 17th Jan which was actively attended by 17 Divyangjans.

Dairy Farm, Jan 28:  In an effort to support underprivileged students in their academic pursuits, WITH YOU (NGO) distributed free sample papers to needy students of Class 10 and 12 residing at the Seva Niketan orphanage home in Dairy Farm.

This initiative aims to provide essential study materials to students who cannot afford them, thereby bridging the educational gap and promoting academic excellence.

Hutbay Jan 28: The District Administration, South Andaman in its efforts to reclaim and safeguard public assets, has intensified its strategic encroachment eviction initiative, ensuring that government land is restored to its rightful purpose.

During the recent phase of the eviction operation in Hutbay Village, the revenue officials successfully removed encroachments on revenue land by removing the unauthorized fencing and a total area of 2500 square meters of government revenue land was reclaimed to government khata.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 28: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS) has raised serious objections to the illegal activities mushrooming in the Islands in the name of SPA Centres.

In a letter to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, the HRS State President, Shri Rakeshwar Lall invited the attention of the LG on a serious concern regarding illegal activities taking place at various SPA centers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. These SPA centers, which offer massage and wellness services, are allegedly involved in illicit activities that are contrary to the law, said Lall.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 28: Beating the Retreat Ceremony, marking the culmination of four-day long Republic Day celebrations will be held at Netaji Stadium tomorrow (Jan.29) at 4.55 pm.  To mark the occasion, there will be combined performance by Army, Navy and Police Band. This will be followed by lowering of the National Flag at sunset. School children will present cultural programmme befitting the occasion.
