Hut Bay, July 25: Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman & Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, South Andaman conducted camp court at Rabindranagar Gram Panchayat, Little Andaman Tehsil, on 25th July 2024. The PRIs members, Revenue Officials and officers from line department were present for redressal of grievances.
During the visit the PRI members highlighted various issues of the Panchayat such as electricity, repair and maintenance of roads, matters related to health, education, availability of quarry products etc. and requested to resolve the issues. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman gave a patient hearing to every issues raised in the camp court and assured redressal of the same after discussions at appropriate forum.

On 26th July, 2024, on the 25th anniversary of 'Kargil Vijay Diwas', I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
This day is dedicated to paying tribute to the invaluable courage, bravery and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers in the Kargil War. The Indian Armed Forces displayed valour and bravery in this war through 'Operation Vijay' and achieved an important military victory over Pakistan. This is also an opportunity for us to take inspiration from brave soldiers and imbibe the spirit of 'Nation First' in our lives.

Mayabunder, July 25: In a significant step towards enhancing disaster response capabilities, a 3-day training program on Disaster Management and Preparedness, focusing on Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) and Medical First Response (MFR), was conducted at Police Station Diglipur. This essential training was led by experienced staff from the Disaster Management Cell, Port Blair.

Port Blair, July 25: All concerned candidates who have applied for allotment/nomination of three seats of B.Sc B.Ed course reserved at Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar for the students of A&N Islands for the academic session 2024-25 have been informed that the Administration through press note published in the Daily Telegrams dated 20.07.2024 has invited claim and objection, if any, from all the concerned in respect of provisional merit list of B.Sc B.Ed course on or before 24.07.2024. No claim and objection has been received upto 24.07.2024. Hence, the provisional merit list for the above said course is now treated as final merit list.
