Car Nicobar, Oct. 29: The Nicobar Police organized a friendly cricket match today at Modern Sports Complex, Lapathy, Car Nicobar. The match was played between District Police Nicobar-XI and Tapoiming-XI. The aim of the match was to create awareness among the people and players about COVID-19.

Port Blair, Oct. 29: The Port Blair Municipal Council has sanctioned two micro-credit loan under Self Employment Programme (SEP) of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana- National Urban Livelihood (DAY-NULM). The loans were disbursed to Shri. N. Senthivel and Smt. L. Mahalaxmi on 29/10/2020. Smti. Anjali Sehrawat IAS, Secretary PBMC and Lead District Manager Port Blair Shri. P.K. Ummer Farooq handed over the sanction letter for an amount of Rs. 1.9 lakhs and Rs. 1.8 lakhs respectively. Sh. N. Senthivel runs a Food Items shop near Shadipur Chowk while Smt. L . Mahalaxmi runs a small bakery from her home.

Port Blair, Oct. 29: The South Andaman District Police solved an attempt to ATM theft case within an hour with the apprehension of one Juvenile in conflict with law.
On 27/10/2020 at around 0600 hrs, a complaint was received from the Manager, HDFC Bank, Junglighat, Port Blair that the ATM installed at the main branch was vandalized by some miscreant.

Keshubhai Patel, Former Chief Minister of Gujarat and the stalwart leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. Late. (Shri.) Keshubhai Patel was 92 years old and passed away due to Cardiac Arrest. He had recently recovered from COVID-19.
