Port Blair, July 6: As part of the celebration of World Zoonoses Day, a Symposium on the theme ‘Preparedness for future epidemic/pandemic lessons learned from COVID-19’ was conducted by RMRC, Port Blair in association with DHS and Dept of AH&VS, A&N Administration today in the auditorium of RMRC. The symposium witnessed participation of Doctors from DHS, AH&VS, ANIIMS, Staff of E&F, CIARI and RMRC, Port Blair and faculty from JNRM Port Blair besides representatives from UNDP, India through online and offline modes.

Port Blair, July 6: The A&N Administration has invited online applications through Administration’s Portal: https://karmic.andaman.gov.in/grpcmatric for filling up of various Group ‘C’ Matric Level Posts in different Departments under A & N Administration vide Vacancy Notice No. 4-13/2022-R&E Cell dated 29.04.2023 and the Written Examination is scheduled to be held on 09.07.2023.

Mayabunder, July 6: A meeting of the District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC), North & Middle Andaman District was held today in the Conference Hall of DC Office, Mayabunder under the chairmanship of Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District, who is also the Chairman of the Committee. Representatives from NABARD, NFDB, District Cooperative Fisheries Federation and local Heads of Offices of all line Departments (Cooperation, Agriculture, AH&VS & Fisheries) attended the meeting. In the meeting, matters relating to implementation of the plan for strengthening cooperative movement and deepening its reach to the grassroot level in North & Middle Andaman District were reviewed and discussed.

Campbell bay, July 6: The Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration in coordination with District Administration, Nicobar, Indian Coast Guard (A&N) and 4 Bn, National Disaster Response Force organized a 12 days Disaster Management Training from June 22 to July 6, 2023 at Community Hall, Campbell Bay for Community Volunteers (Aapda Mitras) of Great Nicobar under Up-scaling of Aapda Mitra Scheme. The scheme aims to train 300 Community Volunteers (Aapda Mitras) in A&N Islands.
