Port Blair, June 28: As part of Swachh Survekshan-2023, Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) organized a training session for Sanitary Inspectors and Junior Engineers of the Council on the theme ‘Mera Shahar, Meri Pehchan’ to equip its officials on various aspects of conducting Swachh Survekshan 2023, including best practices in cleanliness and waste management, effective communication strategies, and collaborative approaches involving citizens and stakeholders. The training was conducted by Superintending Engineer of PBMC at the conference hall of PBMC.

Port Blair, June 28: The Congress Leaders had recently visited Car Nicobar to understand the problems and grievances being faced by the communities out there. On behalf of the Tribal Communities, the ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has raised the issue for Construction of Retaining Wall at Mus Jetty areas of Car Nicobar Islands.

Addressing a letter to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder said that Mus Jetty holds significant importance to the communities of Car Nicobar, serving as a crucial transport hub and a vital link to neighboring islands.
