The general public/consumers and Government Departments have been informed that power supply will remain suspended on Nov. 30 at Shoal Bay-Ferrargunj Feeder:- Kamsrat Dam, Modern village, Wimberlygunj to Shoal bay-19, Wimberlygunj to Ferrargunj, Jirkatang & Ram Nagar. Panel- V Feeder:- Bambooflat, Hope Town , Naya Basti, Shore Point, Stewartgunj, Govindapuram to Wimberlygunj from 8 am to 2pm for Shifting of LT line pole near Bambooflat jetty & H.T & L.T line clearance work beside Shoal Bay Ferrargunj Feeder under Ferrargunj Sub- division.

Senior Fellow and the Executive Editor Maritime Affairs, National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi & team on their visit to A & N Islands to undertake contextualized Disaster threat-assessment to the CANI Cable Landing Stations and associated coastal infrastructure in Sri Vijaya Puram and Swaraj Dweep under the aegis of Department of Telecommunications called on Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 28: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A & N Islands during the 16th Lok Sabha (2014-2019) had taken up the matter of upgrading six State Highways to National Highways as it has numerous benefits. Acting on his request, six key State Highways in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands were accorded principal approval for declaring the same as National Highways (NH) in 2017. For these road projects the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) was entrusted to the APWD, A&N Administration vide MoRTH’s letter No. NH-14014/187/2015-P&M dated 6th July 2017.
