Islanders in Possession with Old Records/ Documents/ Manuscripts Requested to Contribute

Port Blair, Aug. 29: The Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands has reconstituted the ‘Regional Records Survey Committee’ including Sub-Committee in the name of ‘District Records Survey Committee’ for all the   three Districts viz. South Andaman District, North & Middle Andaman District & Car Nicobar District. The Sub-Committees will be headed by the concerned District Deputy Commissioners of the Administration. The mandate of the Sub-Committee is to undertake the task of Survey and listing of records/documents, photographs, manuscripts etc, pertaining to the history of A&N Islands.

Diglipur, Aug 29: In a rapid and effective operation, PS Diglipur successfully intercepted an illegal drug transaction based on reliable intelligence. Under the leadership of Shri Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS SDPO Diglipur, a specialized team was promptly assembled. The team, led by Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO, PS Diglipur including PCs Neeraj Singh, Bijoy Sarkar, Susen Das, and R.C. Rathore, along with two independent witnesses, moved swiftly to act on the information received.

Port Blair, Aug 29: The Andaman & Nicobar Fire and Emergency Services successfully conducted a 3-day First Aid Firefighting and Disaster Management (DM) training program from 27th to 29th August 2024 at the Fire & Emergency Services (HQ).
