Port Blair, April 8: The President, Nicobar Youth Association, Mr. Rayhaan Pasha has briefed the Chief General Manager, BSNL regarding telecommunication network problems in Teressa Island for the last two weeks. The mobile network problem is frequent in Teressa is happening from the last many years. People are frustrated due to the network problem and some of the tribal leaders of Teressa and Chowra inform that they may likely to go for a strong protest against BSNL if this network issue is not addressed. As the pandemic is in its peak, Pasha requested the CGM to fix the issue at the earliest, as communication to the remote areas is very much necessary.

Port Blair, April 8: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Chairman DCPU (SA)/Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman met all stakeholders and reviewed the crucial matters regarding the security and education of children at Child Care Institutions. The Chairman reiterated that the Administration shall endeavour to secure the rights of children deprived of parental care, by ensuring family and community-based care arrangements including sponsorship, kinship, foster care and adoption, with due regard to the best interests of the child and guaranteeing quality standards of care and protection.
