Port Blair, March 9: Navodhaya Foundation organised Women’s Achievers Award on the occasion of International Women’s Day at NK Heritage MNR Resort. The event was to felicitate women from different aspect of our society which included  women from the field of  Sports, Health, Revenue, Sanitary staff, Tourism, Education, Police, Tribals  to Entrepreneurs.

Port Blair, March 9: The Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association, A&N Islands organized a function at Crusade House, Port Blair on 08th March, 2021 to celebrate the International Women’s Day. A seminar was organized on the topic “Women’s Equal rights in Health and Safety at Work and in Society” as a part of the programme.

Inaugurating the Seminar Ms. Salma Bibi, Deputy Secretary, A&N Administration exhorted women employees to create their space through determination and hard work. She also said each and every girl should be trained for self-defense as such training will instill confidence in them to deal with safety issues at work place and in society.

Port Blair, March 8: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to fix the circle rate of land for Minnie Bay revenue circle, which is not yet fixed as the same is not appeared in the circle rate order notified by the Administration on 22nd October, 2019. 

Port Blair, March 9: Port Blair Municipal Council celebrated International Women’s day with Women Self Help Groups formed under DAY-NULM on the 8th of March at Dairy Farm, Community hall. On this occasion, Secretary PBMC, Smti Anjali Sehrawat, IAS was the Chief Guest. Among the other female dignitaries, Dr Suja Anthony, Deputy Director, Department of Health Service, Ms Anjali Nag, Leading Advocate and Smti Shanta Lachman Singh, a renowned social activist from the Islands were also present .

Port Blair, March 8: As a part of International Women’s Day celebration District Level Centre for Women (DLCW), under District Administration, South Andaman held a Felicitation Programme to recognize the efforts and contribution of Rural Women Entrepreneurs.
