Port Blair, Aug. 10: The Personal Interview for the post of Assistant-cum-Data Entry Operator under Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), North & Middle Andaman will be conducted on Aug. 24, 2023 at 11 am onwards at Deputy Commissioner’s Office, N&M Andaman District, Mayabunder.

Port Blair, Aug. 10: Under the Tribal Sub Plan, the Division of Animal Sciences, ICAR-CIARI in collaboration with ICAR-KVK, Car Nicobar organized various capacity-building programs in Nicobar Islands. Dr. P.A Bala, Senior Scientist, and Dr. R. R Alyethodi, Scientist of Animal Science Division, ICAR-CIARI, interacted with farmers on scientific rearing of different livestock and poultry species. An awareness program was also conducted for Mahila Kisan farmers at ICAR-KVK, Car Nicobar in which 20 women farmers participated. Training and demonstrations on livestock feeding and health management were conducted in Perka, Malacca and Chukchucha villages.

It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended at the following area on 12.08.2023 (Saturday)) from 0700 hrs. to 1300 Hrs., due to precautionary isolation of underground power cables during undertaking the work of laying pipe line at Dairy Farm junction from MSM Hotel to Hayat Singh Junction by APWD.

Port Blair, Aug 9: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has taken up the issue of supply of muddy water through pipelines of Kamorta and nearby areas of Kamorta Island with the Chief Secretary of A & N Administration.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament mentioned that many residents of Kamorta Island are facing difficulties due to the supply of muddy water through the APWD pipelines for the past two months.
