HRA Suggests Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Exempt Payment Rather than Spending Funds of Government Exchequer
Port Blair, July 7: The Government of India has been taking proactive steps to protect the precious human lives during the COVID-19 pandemic along with saving the vast population from the crisis of survival. While all efforts are being made to save lives from COVID-19, the attention of the Government was invited towards the largest employment providing industry, ‘The Tourism Industry’ of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, which has suffered a major loss especially with the second wave hitting hard.

Port Blair, July 7: Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) visited the ‘Amphibian Brigade’ at Birchgunj Military Station on 06 Jul 21. CINCAN reviewed operations at the Jungle Survival School and partook in various training activities, including driving an ALS through the landing ship ramp simulator at the Wave Generation Training Facility and baffle range where, with very accurate firing, the CINCAN retained his personnel “Marksmanship Standard”. Whilst addressing the troops, CINCAN stressed on the meet to remain ops ready and prepared at all times. He awarded commendation cards to deserving personnel.

Port Blair, July 7: “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is a series of celebrations being organized on the directives of Govt. of India to celebrate 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. As part of celebrations of 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence, Kala Kendra - A Society under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration had organised various Virtual Programmes in the Month of May & June by involving Local Cultural Groups.

Port Blair, July 7: The District Administration in its constant and persistent thrive to achieve ODF plus status has been organizing various programmes, one of the parameters for ODF plus is that at least 80% households, all schools, angawadis, Panchayat Ghar have arrangement for managing biodegradable waste and liquid waste. For Liquid Waste Management, the rural areas in the Islands are equipped with drainage facilities. However, in order to build additional assets for grey water management, soak pits are being developed under MGNREGA.

Port Blair, July 7: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party has congratulated all newly inducted Hon’ble Ministers in the Central Government. On 7th of July 2021, 43 Ministers were inducted in the Central Govt. in the first expansion in the second term of the NDA Govt. under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.
15 new ministers were inducted in the Union Cabinet whereas 28 new ministers were inducted as Minister of State.
