Port Blair, Aug 4: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) in co-ordination with Blood Center, G.B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, supported Commodore Superintendent, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Port Blair to organize a blood donation camp at Galathea Hall, NSRY (PBR) today at 0900 hrs. As part of its Golden Jubilee celebration of NSRY (PBR), 70 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.

Port Blair, Aug 4: A minor girl namely Sarjina Khatun, (15yrs) D/o Smti Soma Bibi & Shri Meher Ali Baidya R/o Dairy Farm, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is missing since 20/01/2023 from Dairy Farm, Port Blair. In this regard, an FIR has been registered at PS Aberdeen. The details of the missing minor girl are as follows:

Port Blair, Aug 4: With reference to the vacancy Notices published by A&N Administration vide No. 4-13/2022-R&E Cell dated 29.04.2023 & vide No.4-12/2023-R&E Cell/462 dated 26.05.2023 and the vacancy Notice published by A&N Police vide No.DGP/RC/DR/2023/112/2181 dated 09.05.2023 for filling up of various Matric level, Higher Secondary Level and Graduate Level posts for various  departments of A&N Administration and A&N Police, the Written Examination for various subjects for these posts were held at various Centres in A&N Islands on 10/07/2023, 11/07/2023, 24/07/2023, 30/07/2023, 31/07/2023 and 01/08/2023.

Port Blair, Aug 4: Rural South Andaman Area Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has conducted a two-day corner meetings and public meetings at different parts of the Ferrargunj Tehsil on 2nd and 3rd August, 2023 on various local issues concerning the people. On conclusion of the corner meetings at different parts of Bambooflat I and Bambooflat II, Wimberlygunj, Hopetown, Shore Point, Stewertgunj areas on 2nd August, 2023, a public meeting was held at Bambooflat Jetty in the evening. 

Port Blair, Aug. 4: The vessel Sindhu will sail from Port Blair to Kolkata via Mayabunder tomorrow (Aug. 5) at 8 am. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 6 am on Aug. 5 which will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel. The vessel will sail only after completion of survey procedure which will commence on completion of embarkation of passengers for issuance of ‘B’ Certificate as per MS Act.
