Deemed University will commercialize education and will make education unaffordable to poor students: NSUI
New Delhi, June 27: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) held a Press Conference at Press Club of India, New Delhi on Tuesday. The National Secretary of NSUI, Mr. Avinash Yadav and Mr. Vinod Jakhar, In-charge of Andaman Pradesh NSUI Miss. Mamatha Nerlige and Andaman State President NSUI M.A Sajid addressed the Conference.
In the press conference, State President of NSUI, A& N Islands Mr. M.A Sajid staged his collective voice against the establishment of a Deemed University in Andaman & Nicobar Islands which was approved without taking any consultation from Public Representatives, Student Union's, Teacher Unions, Stakeholders and expert academicians.

Port Blair, June 27: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today called on the Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, to discuss various issues concerning the law and order situation in these Islands.
During the meeting, the Member of Parliament praised the commendable efforts of all the police jawans in maintaining law and order, while also expressing his concern over the growing drug menace and its impact on the future generation.

Port Blair, June 27: The Idea & Innovation Competition for all Units/Ships of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) was conducted on 27 Jun 2023 at Dweepika Auditorium. The event witnessed active participation by all the Components of ANC. A large number of operational & logistics ‘Ideas & innovations’ were displayed, which have been conceptualized by the Officers and men of the Command. The display was reviewed by Air Mshl Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN).
