Car Nicobar, March 7: To mark the occasion of International Women’s Day, 2023, various programmes were organized under the District Administration, Nicobar District. The celebrations were conducted in coordination with the Departments of Health, Education, Police, ICDS, Rural Development and Tribal Council.

A cycle rally was conducted with more than 80 lady participants. The Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar flagged off the cycle rally from the DC Office, which culminated at the beautiful Kinyuka beach.

Port Blair, March 7: The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman celebrated Holi at Children Home Ferrargunj, Divyang Home and Old Age Home today. Holi is the most colourful and vibrant festival of India. It is the festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil. Holi was celebrated with splash of colours at Children Home Ferrargunj, Divyang Home and Old Age Home that teaches to follow good conduct in life with positive attitude.

Port Blair, March 7: The International Women's Day was celebrated with fervour by the Pradesh Mahila Congress under the leadership of Smt. Bindu Kumari at Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair. ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. G Bhasker were the special invitees on this occasion.

On this occasion, Shri. Halder and Shri. Bhasker honoured Women Congress Workers by presenting shawls and flower bouquets.

Port Blair, March 7: An Open Sea Swimming Competition will be organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, A&N Administration at Port Blair on March 18. For the smooth conduct of the event, a Co-ordination Meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Sports), Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS in the conference hall of the Secretariat to discuss the modalities of the event.
