Port Blair, Feb. 8: The vessel Nalanda will sail from Port Blair to Chennai via Little Andaman, Nancowry and Campbell Bay on Feb.10, 2023 at 0900 hrs from Haddo Wharf. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on Feb.9, one day prior to sailing of the vessel. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0700 hrs to 0800 hrs on Feb.10. Embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Port Blair, Feb. 8: The Directorate of Shipping Services will be issuing unsold/remaining passenger tickets to Little Andaman/Nancowry/Campbell Bay bound passengers in the vessel Nalanda which is scheduled to sail for Chennai via Little Andaman, Nancowry & Campbell Bay on Feb.10 at 0800 hrs from Haddo Wharf. In this regard, passengers who wish to avail the above sailing upto Little Andaman, Nancowry & Campbell Bay may purchase their tickets on Feb.9, 2023 from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs at STARS Ticketing Counters, Phoenix Bay.

Port Blair, Feb 7: The Indian Pharmacist Association, IPA National President, Shri. Abhay Kumar has taken up the matters related to Pharmacy profession with many dignitaries on several occasions. In continuation to this, he has also met Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and persuaded him to take up the matter at all appropriate level.

Member of Parliament seeks intervention of Hon’ble Lt. Governor so that poor patients of AB-PMJAY can get transport cost reimbursement along with one attendant

Port Blair, Feb 7: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has sought the intervention of Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands so that poor patients of the Islands referred under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) can get transport cost reimbursement along with one attendant based on the mode of travel recommended by the referring specialist.

Diglipur, Feb. 7: In order to clear all the demarcation cases pending at Diglipur Tehsil, a Special Demarcation Drive w.e.f. 1st February, 2023 has commenced under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, N& M Andaman, Mayabunder.   So far, a total of 136 pending demarcation cases have been disposed of till date. Further, to accelerate the demarcation drive, 5 additional Surveyors from Mayabunder and Rangat Tehsil have also been engaged at Diglipur w.e.f 01.02.2023 till the completion of all pending cases. The entire team is expected to dispose of more than 300 pending cases by the end of this week.
