Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Grain Dealers Association, Hoteliers Association, A&N Islands, Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Ship Owners Association, Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Boat Owners Association, Andaman Bar Owner Association, FOATO and Laghu Udyog Bharati, met Shri Satya Kumar, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janta Party on 6th February 11:00 am at Hotel Divyum Manor. The delegation submitted a representation and explained the difficulties being faced by all the stake holders of the tourism industry due to the sudden closure of all tourist places.

Port Blair, Feb 7: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) has formed an alliance with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK, A&N Islands) for the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections 2022.  An official announcement in this regard was made today in the presence of AICC State In-Charge Mr. A. Chellakumar, ANTCC President Mr Rangalal Halder, DMK State Organiser Mr. A.L. Kulandai, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. G Bhasker.

Port Blair, Feb 7: In pursuance of Press Note by Election Commissioner (UTs), dated 28/01/2022 to hold General Election to Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samities, Zilla Parishads and PBMC, the District Administration has constituted Enforcement team Police Station wise for maintaining Model Code of Conduct and defacement of Public Property vide Nodal Officer (PME) Order no. 76, dated 03rd Feb, 2022. Altogether 09 Flying Surveillance team, 09 Video Surveillance team and 09 Check Point teams have been constituted within the South Andaman district for maintaining Model Code of Conduct. All the Enforcement teams and the Videography teams are active on field.
