Port Blair, Aug. 18: In pursuance of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Hindu Marriage Registration Rules, 1958, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands had appointed Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman as Registrar for South Andaman District. In order to facilitate the general public, the District Administration immediately commenced the process of launching the service through e-district.

Port Blair, Aug. 18: The Model Career Centre (Employment Exchange), Directorate of Employment & Training has conducted Career Guidance Programme for the benefit of job seekers today in the premises of Model Career Centre, Supply line. During the programme, more than 100 jobseekers were enlightened over various vacancies notified by Andaman and Nicobar Administration as well as Andaman Nicobar Command. The Job Seekers were also sensitized to get registered on National Career Service (NCS) Portal.

Port Blair, Aug. 18: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,933 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23932 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 788 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 186389.

Port Blair, Aug. 18: Eight positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 9 flights with 1406 passengers arrived, out of which, 1265 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 101 passengers and the reports are awaited.
