Port Blair, Oct. 6: As a part of Union Territory wide stir, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) along with other outfits on Wednesday staged massive demonstrations at all three districts on a 27-point charter of demands. The protest was organized under the leadership of ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder with the guidance of Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma and with active support of ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman, Shri. G. Bhasker. The demonstration was targeted against the anti-people policies of the Central Government and the failure of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands’ Administration for its wrong doings. The demonstration was staged in spite of the A&N Administration not giving permission stating the pandemic situation.

Port Blair, Oct. 6: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman recommending a list of ten persons who have requested for removal of dangerous trees from the land possessed by them at Chouldari Village. These residents have requested the State President to take up their issue with the appropriate authority.
