Port Blair, Oct. 15: The Central Crime Station in its continuous effort and crackdown against illegal Narcotics in A&N Islands, has arrested 02 drug peddlers.
Information was received by PS Central Crime Station about 02 persons travelling from Kolkata by private airlines on 14/10/2020 who were carrying contraband in a large quantity. Immediately on the direction of Dy. SP (CID) a team comprising Inspr. Mahesh Kr. Yadav, ASI Vijay Shankar, Head Constable P. Mustafa, Constable K. Rajendran, Raja Rao, Mohd. Imran, P. K. Mondal and H. K. Yadav of PS Central Crime Station was formed and rushed to VS International Airport, Lamba Line.

Kuldeep Calls Upon Lt. Governor to Shift JNRM Boys Hostel to Vacant Building at Prothrapur
Port Blair, Oct. 14: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands for his intervention with regard to the unhealthy situation prevailing at Girls Hostel of JNRM College. The hostel has a capacity of 230 beds, whereas 691 girls of Inter Islands are staying in it.

Team Assesses Ground Situation of COVID-19 and Measures in Place to Control the Spread
Port Blair, Oct. 14: The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Health), Shri V. Candavelou, IAS along with the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, presently holding the charges of DC, N&M Andaman, DHS and a medical specialist, Dr. Shiv Shankar Singh from GB Pant Hospital made a visit to Diglipur to apprise the various arrangements and actions being taken by the Administration to contain the spread of COVID-19 at Diglipur. The team was accompanied by the DIG (HQ), SP (N&M) and AC Diglipur.
