Port Blair, Aug 20: The Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, Shri. N.K. Udhaya Kumar in written communication to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has requested to relax the lock down provisions imposed during Saturday and Sunday in connection with the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi which falls on Saturday the 22nd August 2020 so that the citizens can celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi without any constrain. Further the Civic Chief ensured strict compliance and undertaking to follow all the SOPs and Guidelines on COVID-19 management prescribed by the GOI during poojas and other pageantries. The same matter was also communicated to the Superintendent of Police (District), A&N Islands as well.

New Delhi, Aug 20: The U.S. Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in coordination with the Government of India and the Indian Red Cross Society, donated the second shipment of 100 new, state-of-the-art ventilators to assist India in its fight against COVID-19.

Bishnu Writes to Nadda to Revamp Health Infrastructure and Other Measures to Contain Infection Spread
