Port Blair, Oct. 8: A total of 4,54,486 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 1,70,966 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date among which a total of 1582 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Oct. 8: ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (CIARI), South Andaman conducted training programme on “Balanced diet for rural women and Children” for 3 days from 4th to 6th Oct.2021 at Wandoor. The training programme was inaugurated by Dr. Y. Ramakrishna, Pr. Scientist & Head, KVK, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Oct. 7: An Island youth hailing from Mayabunder in the North & Middle Andaman District made the islanders proud when he came out with flying colours at the Pro Boxing Event which was organised at Mumbai. The 40 year old youth Bikram Pariyar won a Silver medal on 7th July 2021 in his first fight and later won a Gold medal on 8th August 2021 during his second fight.

Port Blair, Oct. 7: In a scatting attack on the Central and State Government, the National Students Union of India, A&N Islands under the aegis of Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday organized a candlelight protest at Gandhi Bhawan premises to show it's resentment against violence unleashed on farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh and the illegal detention of senior party leader Smt. Priyanka Gandhi.
