Port Blair, Sept. 28: A total of 4,39,493 doses have been administered to the beneficiaries so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 1,70,259 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 1787 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

MP Requests Chief Secretary to Withdraw the System
Port Blair, Sept. 27: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Chief Secretary to withdraw the system of seeking permission from DC, N&M Andaman for travelling to South Andaman from North and Middle Andaman District.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: A business meet with the visiting ambassadors and officials from ASEAN countries was organised by the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) on 26th Sept. 2021 at the TSG Conference Hall, Port Blair. The members of the ASEAN countries included Myanmar, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: The tribals of Car Nicobar and other parts of the district have expressed their sincere gratitude toward Dr. Mathew Sheedeep, MS, Surgeon attached to Bishop John Richardson Hospital, Car Nicobar. Dr. Mathew in a short span of his tenure had conducted more than 200 minor and major surgeries which came as a blessing for the residents.

Port Blair, Sept. 27: Mr. Mochammad Rizki Safary, charge d affaires Republic of Indonesia to India called on Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas. Discussed follow up measures subsequent to the visit of 24 member Indonesian delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Iriansyah, Governor Aceh during February 2020 to promote tourism & trade, import of quarry products, construction materials, cement, stone aggregate and pre-fab structures. Improved Air/Sea connectivity, Yacht Tourism, processing of raw materials, Free Trade Zone, fishing etc. and ongoing infra development projects in the Islands were also reviewed.
