Port Blair, Aug. 28: The written examination for the post of Mukhya Sevika was held on 27.08.2023 and the Question papers containing two sets alongwith Answer Key have been uploaded in the website https://erecruitment.andaman.gov.in  and State Portal i.e. https://andaman.gov.in for three days. i.e. 29.08.2023 to 31.08.2023, inviting claims and objections from the candidates, if any.

Port Blair, Aug 27: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to introduce UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payment system in the shipping services.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament said that thousands of people, who frequently travel between Chatham, Bamboo Flat and other ports, as well as inter-island ferry travellers, rely on the ferry services daily for their transportation needs within the islands. However, the existing process of purchasing ferry tickets with cash poses certain challenges for both passengers and the environment.

Port Blair, Aug 27: The District Administration under the Chairmanship of Smti Vedita Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman organized a Camp Court under the banner of ‘Zilla Prashasan Apke Dwaar’ in the community hall under Gram Panchayat, Guptapara today. A large number of citizens of the Gram Panchayat area were present and represented their grievances.
