The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, also known as 'World Drug Day', is observed every year on June 26 to make people aware about drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. This observance stimulates a sense of responsibility among the people, especially among youngsters and teenagers, to stay away from the drug menace.

I am glad that A & N Administration is carrying out various preventive and curative activities to tackle the menace of drug-abuse based on the UT Policy and Action Plan on Drug Demand Reduction.
