Chennai, May 7: Through a massive mobilization effort, the U.S. Government is delivering on its commitment to stand with the people of India as they fight a devastating second wave of COVID-19. Over the past week, the U.S. government rapidly deployed six planeloads of life-saving supplies to New Delhi in six days and mobilized its partners in India to immediately stand up surge support. Together, U.S. Government assistance to combat the current crisis is about $100 million. The United States is continuing to work closely with Indian officials and health experts to identify and respond to emerging trends in this ongoing crisis.

Anchipaka Appeals to Citizens to Report any Symptoms to the Nearest PHCs/ CHCs or District Control Room
Port Blair, May 7: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) along with SDM(SA), AC(HQ), AC(S), AC(L) and AC(U/T) visited the vaccination camp held at Manglutan Community Hall.
During his brief interaction with the organisers of the camp and general present there he requested them to follow the COIVD appropriate behaviour and also sought their cooperation in the fight against the pandemic. The entire Administration is focussed on controlling the Covid surge and in this regard, DC(SA) reiterated that all-out measures will be taken for strict enforcement of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

Port Blair, May 7: To boost the morale and beat the hot weather, the team of Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR) distributed refreshment kits to 360 frontline warriors.
260 Field staff deputed under District Administration, South Andaman in areas under UHC GB Pant , Delanipur, Haddo and Junglighat were also catered.

Port Blair, May 7: The vaccination drive is continuing in A&N Islands in an effective manner and health teams designated in various vaccination centres spread across the Islands are vaccinating all the beneficiaries above 45, who visit the centres spread over the A&N Islands on a daily basis. The vaccination sessions are continuing in more than 88 designated vaccination centres set up in different parts of the Islands towards the fight against Corona virus. 765 doses of COVISHIELD vaccines were administered to the eligible beneficiaries by the health teams today (May 7), taking the total number of doses of vaccines administered so far to 1,13, 696.

Port Blair, May 7: A COVID-19 prevention and vaccination drive was organised by District Administration, South Andaman and Directorate of Health services at Manglutan opposite Ganesh Mandir. The volunteers of Hindu Rasthra Shakti participated in the drive. Social worker of Guptapara Shri Prakash Adhikari had the area sanitized and all arrangements made.
The members of the HRS team comprising Shri Amar Kumar Singh, Shri Rakeshwar Lal, Shri Angshuman Roy, Shri Sandeep Biswas, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Smti Savitri and Shri Dheeraj put all their efforts to make this program successful by campaigning for the vaccination of those who are left out. The team did door to door survey and created awareness about the Importance of Vaccination. Some private vehicles and Govt. STS busses were arranged for pick up & drop of the public.
