MV Kalighat will sail for Campbell Bay via Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal & Nancowry on 23.04.2022 (Sat) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 26.04.2022 (Tue) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via same route.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 23.04.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, April 20: On the complaint of a minor victim girl, a case U/s 13/14 POCSO Act 2012 r.w.s 354(D)/509 IPC was registered in South Andaman District. The accused Sagar, R/o Rajasthan had sent the morphed nude photo of the minor girl on Instagram. The minor victim girl had met the accused on social media platform and started conversing through the social media (Whatsapp and Instagram). The minor girl stopped talking to the boy when he messaged her through a fake Instagram account. On this the accused boy got agitated and he morphed the photo of minor victim girl making it obscene and shared on social media.

Port Blair, April 20: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary (RD) along with Director (RD), Senior Officers of Engineer Wing of PRI, Pradhan Mithakari, Pradhan Namunaghar and other PRI members conducted field inspection to check the status of ongoing works related to construction of rural road from “SH-12 to Dundus Point Jetty road (158 Mtrs) via Mithakhari Jetty, sluice gate and animal husbandry colony” under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Kojana-II (PMGSY-II).

Port Blair, April 20: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to increase the frequency of the ‘Line Boat’, which is being operated between Port Blair and Rangat via Shaheed Dweep, Swaraj Dweep and Long Island.

Port Blair, April 20: The Secretary, PBMC, Chairperson, PBMC along with Superintending Engineer and other Officials of PBMC conducted and inspection on 20th April, 2022 at Dollygunj in presence of Ward Councillor, Ward No. 17 wherein the pressing issues of the locality viz., water supply problems, right of way for construction of drain to avoid water logging, completion of pending road works and observed the concerned Officials were have been directed to take appropriate course of action
