Port Blair, Aug 28: The Deputy Commissioner (SA), Shri Suneel Anchipaka, SP (SA) alongwith Chairman, PBMC, Adhyaksh, ZP (SA) and Ward Councilors and other Officers of the District Administration made visit to various market locations in and around Port Blair area to create awareness among the public and vendors in its bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Port Blair, Aug 28: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Education), A&N Administration for early consideration of the matters which have already been taken up by him with regard to re-engagement of 256 Short Term Contract Teachers and also Part Time employees i.e. Pre-Primary Teachers, Craft Instructors, Attendants and Ayasare in the education department whose term of engagement ended on 30.04.2020 and 16th May, 2020 respectively.

Port Blair, Aug 28: Upon the call made by Elayasuraja, President, A&N Pradesh Youth Congress to the Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi about the conditions of Autorickshaw drivers who were unable to earn any livelihood, the Guru Ki Rasoi supported as many as 51 Autorickshaw drivers and their family by distributing ration kits near Junglighat ground on 27th Aug 2020.
