Port Blair, May 7: The birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore’s was observed in Tagore Government College of Education Port Blair on 7th May 2022. The programme began with the garlanding of the portrait of Tagore by the Principal of the college. Students and Staff paid rich floral tributes to the Noble Laureate. The Fine Arts department of the college presented Rabindra Sangeet on the occasion.

Port Blair, May 8: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 124 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 18 flights with 2768 passengers arrived, out of which, 2409 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 229 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, May 6: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to start Dental Implant facilities at G B Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament pointed out that although facilities for Dental care and Dental extraction are available at G B Pant Hospital Port Blair, there is no facility for Dental Implant for patients.

MV Kalighat will now sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 09.05.2022 (Mon) at 1400 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 11.05.2022 (Wed) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via same route. Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 09.05.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, May 6: The Review Meeting of MPLADS for South Andaman District was held on 04.05.2022 under the Chairmanship of the District Authority (MPLADS)/DC(SA) for reviewing the progress of ongoing works of 16th and 17th Lok Sabha recommended by the Hon’ble MP under MPLADS.
