Port Blair, March 16: In continuation of FSSAI initiative of Eat Right India movement, the Food Safety Department organized series of Food Licensing and Registration Mela in North & Middle Andaman District.
On 10th March 2021, a mela was organized at Subhashgram village in Diglipur Tehsil and around 208 food business operators participated and were briefed about online licensing & registration of food business through Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS) portal of FSSAI. Live demonstration of uploading application for grant/renewal of FSSAI licenses were carried out.

Port Blair, March 15: Our Islands are known for tough conditions of survival and yet strong residents who overcome all the odds and make the colourful life flourish. But some unsynchronized menaces on the part of the Administration make residents’ life even tougher. One such incident came to light when Mr Pawan Kumar Sharma R/o Dhanapur Mayabunder posted a letter to our newspaper explaining how he was halted at Baratang Jetty and was stopped from going to Port Blair via vehicle ferry without any substantial reason.
