Port Blair, May 19: It is brought to the notice of electricity consumers that due to Covid-19 restrictions, the electricity bill for the month of April, 2021, could not be delivered to the consumer premises at various areas. All such electricity consumer who did not receive the electricity bill for the month of April 2021, may contact the cash counter of respective site offices of electricity department with their electricity account number for making payment of bill.

Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party has written a letter to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration and Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District requesting them to lift the restrictions currently enforced in Nicobar District.

Port Blair, May 18: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration that in order to avoid crisis of oxygen for the patients in the hospital, the hospital should purchase oxygen from other oxygen manufactures also. At present only one oxygen manufacturing company is supplying oxygen to the Health Department as per the rules.

Port Blair, May 18: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed his gratitude towards the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman for accepting the request for providing permission for farmers residing in containment zone to transport their farm produce to Port Blair.

Bairagi on 17th May 2021 had written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Nicobar District informing him that farmers residing in the recently announced containment zones were facing grave problems as their farm produce was getting damaged because of unavailability of any medium of transport. He had mentioned in his letter that the pandemic has brought several financial problems for farmers and they need dire support of the Administration.
