Today, on the occasion of 24th Raising Day of the only Operational Joint Services Command of the nation, it is a matter of great honour to acknowledge the service and sacrifice of the personnel of Andaman Nicobar Command (ANC). I have been operationally and now administratively closely associated with the functioning of this prestigious Command.
The command has grown from its fledgling days into a cohesive and potent organisation not only capable of protecting the national interests in this region but also enable India to be a regional security provider. The success of numerous operations undertaken in the recent past, along with the Operational Demonstration to the Hon'ble President in Feb 24 bear testimony to the potent operational capability of the command. The command has seen significant growth in its capability and infrastructure and is poised to act as a spring board to the east.

Dear Esteemed Citizens and Brave Guardians of Our Nation, It is with deep pride and heartfelt gratitude that I join you in commemorating the 24th Raising Day of the Andaman and Nicobar Command.
On this momentous day, October 8, we reflect on the remarkable journey of our Command, which has stood as a vital shield for our nation's security in the Indian Ocean Region since its inception. Over the years, our courageous soldiers, sailors, airmen and all officers and ranks have remained steadfast, adapting to new challenges and threats with deep commitment, professionalism, and integrity. Their sacrifices have been immense, ensuring the safety of our shores and the preservation of our sovereignty.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 7: GSSS Mohanpura hosted a captivating CRC Level Science Exhibition on October 5, 2024. Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, DEO of Sri Vijaya Puram South Andaman was the chief guest on the occasion while Smt. MV Jolly, DDE (Personnel) was the guest of honour. The exhibition, aptly titled ‘Srijan’ was a testament to creativity and ingenuity. Students from various schools under the CRC presented an array of innovative projects, showcasing their problem-solving skills and scientific understanding. Smt. S. Bhawani, Principal of GSSS Mohanpura and CRC Coordinator, urged the students to create models that could benefit society in everyday life.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 7: On 06th October 2024, YJR Seva Foundation conducted the Swachtha Abhiyan in collaboration with Andaman Helping Hands, A&N Islands (AHHANI), Allu Arjun Army Andaman (AAAA), Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC) and Local Fishermans Committee at FLC Jetty Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 7: The Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Environment Impact Assessment Authority (UTEIAA) has granted Environmental Clearance for mining of White Moorum (Coral Rags) situated at Rabindra Nagar village, Little Andaman Tehsil in South Andaman District. The Environmental Clearance granted has been hosted in the District website: southandaman.nic.in for wide publicity.
