Port Blair, April 19: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 204 incoming flight passengers yesterday, no positive case has been detected. During RAT conducted on 28 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Helipad, 10 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 36 passengers and no positive case has been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 11 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected.

Port Blair, April 19: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,12,964 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,409 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,920 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 16,330.

Port Blair, April 18: Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded uninterrupted power supply at Port Blair and South Andaman rural areas. In a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A&N State Organising Committee drew the attention of the Lt. Governor towards the widespread power disruption occurring in the Port Blair and South Andaman areas for the last several months. He said that Port Blair town and adjoining areas have been undergoing the unscheduled and un-announced power cut, because of which studies of students whose Board Examinations are underway during these days are adversely affected.
