Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: Together with the rest of the country, the 155th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation will be celebrated on 2nd October, 2024 in A&N Islands too. The main function will be held at Gandhi Park at 8.15 am, during which, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A & N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency will pay floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. This will be followed by prayers 'Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je'/ Ramdhuns by Teachers/Students of Education Department.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: Due to administrative reasons, the Public Meeting in the Secretariat Complex on 1st October, 2024 will be held from 1200 hrs to 1300 hrs instead of 1500 hrs to 1600 hrs.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: To commemorate the 6th anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the 3rd anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Ayushman Pakhwada was observed from 20th to 30th September, 2024. During this period, the State Health Agency (Implementing agency of AB-PMJAY), A & N Islands organized a series of activities aimed at raising public awareness about the scheme.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: The Pondicherry University-Andaman Campus hosted a vibrant Startup Boot Camp today, attracting around 100 enthusiastic participants primarily from the MBA and Marine Biology Departments. The event was aimed at fostering entrepreneurial spirit among students and to equip them with essential skills for the Startup ecosystem. The event was conceptualized under the eadership of Director of Industries, Shri Abhishek Bhukal.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: The Department of Home Science, JNRM in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare, A & N Administration celebrated Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024- Kuposhan Mukt Bharat, Ek Pahal. The students of Deptt. of Home Science performed a Nukkad Natak on the theme Junk Food & Importance of Nutrition for pregnant and lactating mothers in Schools and Gram Panchayat Mithakhari. Students of TGCE, ANCOL, JNRM and Anganwadi workers participated in various competitions.
