Port Blair, Jan 24: The free coaching centers for all competitive examinations, an initiative by Member of Parliament Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma received tremendous response from the youths of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Around 400 youths have enrolled for the free classes. The inaugural function was organized on 23rd January at 2.30 pm at Abardeen Bazar, where various religious gurus and prominent persons of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and members from Andaman Chamber of Commerce participated.

Port Blair, Jan 24: Central Crime Station in its continuous crackdown against illegal Narcotics trade in A&N Islands tracked a parcel containing Ganja clandestinely concealed in old clothes on 22/01/2021. Three drug peddlers were arrested in connection with the consignment.

Port Blair, Jan 24: As part of the “Prashasan Aapke Dwaar” initiative under the aegis of the District Administration, South Andaman, revenue camp court was held by Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman in the Panchayat Bhawan, Mannarghat. Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, AC(SA) and other officers of the District Administration and line departments attended the camp court.

Port Blair, Jan 24: As of every year on 26th January, the Nation celebrates Republic Day with grandeur, gaiety, fervour and enthusiasm. This year too, the Republic Day will be celebrated in a manner befitting the occasion, however with some extra precaution and measures in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
The Govt. of India has issued guidelines for the conduct of the Republic Day celebrations as per the COVID-19 protocols by ensuring social distancing, wearing of masks, proper sanitisation, avoiding large gatherings, protecting vulnerable persons etc.

Port Blair, Jan 24: District Child Protection Unit (S/A) organized workshop on skill development and time management at Calvary Children Home.
The main emphasis of the workshop was to explain the students about skill development so that they can enhance their positive social relationships with others and time management for better utilization of time. And also boost their mental abilities through positive auto suggestion technique.
