24,652 Beneficiaries in the Age Group of 12 to 14 Years administered both doses of vaccine
Port Blair, July 12: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,84,157 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,596 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 24,652 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 28,300.

Port Blair, July 12: Eight positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 4 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 9 flights with 1099 passengers arrived, out of which, 953 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 111 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, July 11: Heavy rains (07-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands. Thundersquall (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands. Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied with gusty wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands.

Port Blair, July 11: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 09th July 2022 inaugurated a 120 mtr long CC road at Chunna Bhatta area under Hope Town Panchayat. The work was completed under MPLADS funds at the cost of Rs.51,25,627 (Fifty-one lakhs twenty-five thousands six hundred and twenty-seven only).

Port Blair, July 11: The meeting of the CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee held on 9th July, 2022 at Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali, Port Blair reviewed the political situation prevailing in the islands. The meeting noted that the BJP-led central government does not give any importance to the burning issues of the people of these islands. The meeting noted with concern that Sangh Parivar is spreading its tentacles in every sphere in the islands.
