Port Blair, April 24: The 35th Convocation function of IGNOU will be held on Tuesday, 26th April, 2022 between 11 am - 1pm, at Port Blair. The function will be held at Tagore Government College of Education Auditorium, Middle Point, Port Blair. Shri Pankaj Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Disaster Management, Information Technology, Information Publicity, Tourism, Art, Culture and Agriculture will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honor at Port Blair. Nearly 751 students are eligible to receive their Degree /Diplomas. Students who have confirmed their participation in person would be given Degrees and Diplomas during the function.

It is brought to the notice of electricity consumer and general public that due to shortfall in power generation and increase in power demand during evening load peak hours, the department is compelled to exercise the rotational load shedding of approximately 45 minutes in and around Port Blair and South Andaman area during evening hours i.e. from 05.00 PM to 11.00 PM hours till improvement of power situation.
