Sri Vijaya Puram, March 10: In accordance with the directive of the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, mandating quarterly mock drills across all Departments, the Directorate of Disaster Management conducted a Fire Safety Drill at the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T), Andaman & Nicobar Administration today. Officers and staff of IP&T actively participated in the drill, coordinating with all resource Departments to manage the simulated fire scenario.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 9: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands held National Lok Adalat in the District Court Building, Port Blair, ADR Centre-PRAYAS’, Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Diglipur today. As one of the achievements, National Lok Adalat was also held at Campbell Bay through Virtual mode at Port Blair.

The Judicial Officers of this judgeship were present to mark the commencement of the National Lok Adalat at Port Blair, Mayabunder, Diglipur and Campbell Bay.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 10: A female patient namely Jorina Begum aged about 70 years has expired on 05-03-2025 at GB Pant Hospital. The body of the deceased is kept in the Cold Mortuary of G. B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram. No relatives or persons known to her have come forward to claim the dead body till date. The general public/NGOs/relatives of the deceased may come forward to claim the dead body. If no person/relatives come forward to claim the aforesaid dead body within 7 days from the date of publication, the Medical Superintendent, G. B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram shall have the liberty to dispose of the aforesaid dead body without any further notice.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 9: The Police Training School (PTS), Prothrapur, celebrated the successful completion of training for the 74th Batch of Recruit Police Constables (Executive) with a grand Passing Out Parade held at the Parade Ground of Police Training School, Prothrapur on 08th March 2025. The ceremony marked the culmination of months of rigorous training for 248 recruit trainees, who are now ready to serve the citizens of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and integrity.
