Port Blair, Jan 13: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, led by Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti have extended their heartfelt gratitude towards Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman) for considering the request for permitting general public perform Puja in temple from 0600 am to 1100 am on the eve of Pongal & Makar Sankaranti failing on 14 & 15 - January 2022 follow by SOPs of Social gathering.

The President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Shri Rakeshwar Lall in a letter to the Lt. Governor inform that the Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) earlier used to provide Hearse (Mortuary Van) to carry deceased person to North and Middle Andaman region. But the PBMC has withdrawn this service for various reasons (COVID/Shortage staff & Vehicle etc). The decision of PBMC has left many people of North & Middle Andaman totally helpless. Those who hail from financially weak families are worst hit as to carry a deceased person from Port Blair to N & M Andaman in Private Vehicles one has to pay nearly Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 50,000 to private vehicle owners.
